ENERGY TREE is a kinetic wind sculpture, installed in front of the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Odessa, TX (2019).
This tree like form stands 27 feet high and has a span of 16 feet in diameter. It is fabricated all in stainless steel with the upper four rings powdercaoted in metalic blue and green.
Four 3-sided mobius rings rotate independently and freely with the wind. The entire top portion of the sculpture moves as a unit as well. As the wind blows, the sculpture comes alive with gentle unpredictable movements.
The patterns in the base represent the layers of the earth. At night, LED lights within the base cascade upward simulating energy rising upward from deep in the earth.
LED lights zip around the edge of each mobius ring symbolizing an electron rotating around its neucleus.
At the center of each ring are diamond shape forms that also illuminate at night. These are the jewels / fruit that this tree has produced.

4 wind sculptures
Commissioned by city of Boise, ID
Gateway Public Art Project
TRANSITIONS is a series of four wind sculptures that was requested as a gateway piece for the state of Idaho. They will be installed on the median strip on Vista avenue that connects Boise Airport to downtown.
Boise is known as The City of Trees. In that spirit, we have created a series of four 13' tall tree-like sculptures. Each represents one of the four seasons conveying the regions distinct and beautiful changing landscape.
The top part of each sculpture, with colorful bold shapes, moves with the wind to welcome visitors to the city and beckon them on their way. At night each base will illuminate in multiple colors with unique shapes and patterns.

ELEMENTAL is a kinetic wind sculpture to be installed in front of the newly renovated Sonoma Clean Power Headquarters in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa, CA. Sonoma Clean Power is a public electricity provider that distributes clean energy from renewable resources: geothermal, water, wind, solar and biomass.
Three abstract columns rising out of the ground represent trees. Three diamond forms on top, each sybolizes one of the following classical elements: Sun/Fire, Water and Earth. With the addition of Wind/Air this completes the four elements depicted in the symbol of a diamond.
Low votage LED color-changing lights will illuminate at night inside each of the three diamond forms. In addition, the outer edge of each column of the base will illuminate with various patterns of lights. All lighting will be powered by the sun though solar panels.
