8 colorful birds that represent and celebrate the beautiful wildlife seen in the Everglades National Park. They are mounted on the newly installed solar and wind powered lamp posts located in the parking lot of Port Everglades Cruise Terminal 4. These wind sculptures greet visitors and can be seen from the street as you enter the parking lot as well as from the terminal waiting room. The birds move in weathervane fashion, pointing in whatever direction the wind is blowing. In contrast, the elements below each bird (fish, frogs, butterflies, and leaves) move in a continuous circular motion. The idea is to bring recognition to the many endangered species of the Florida Everglades.
